Zero Incident Audit and Analysis ProcessThrough involvement with the Construction Industry Institutes research projects on Making Zero Accidents a Reality A to Zero Consulting has developed a process to measure a company’s implementation of safety systems identified in the research to determine how their company compares to the research findings. This process measures the level and commitment of a company’s actions in the nine areas identified by the safety research listed below:
This process is conducted through a series of interviews and evaluations of company personnel, from executive management level through mid management, supervisors and front line employees. This helps to identify the levels of involvement and safety systems implementation through all levels of the organization.
The analysis of this information provides targeted improvement areas that are identified in each level of the organization. A improvement plan is then supplied that details an action plan to lead your company toward the Zero Incident objective.
Audit Process A to Zero Consulting conducts interviews with multiple managers/supervisors within a department, division or project and make improvement suggestions based on an overall score for the department, etc. instead of individual recommendations.
This same process is continued for each area of the CII research at all levels of personnel, from executive management to front line workers. The questions are revised based on their role and responsibility.
Often the front line workers may be asked about their immediate supervisors’ involvement to gage the responses given by the supervisors themselves.
As a follow up to the audit and improvement suggestions a follow analysis can be conducted after a period of time to determine the level of implementation and improvement achieved.
