Written Program Development and ImprovementOur educated and knowledgeable staff can help you document how you do your work in the form of Safety Policies and Procedures. These written documents can help outline the intent of your safety program, how you will comply with law, how workers can complete their task safely, and what you hope to accomplish. It has often been said, “If it isn’t in writing, then it does not exist.” Don’t let this happen to your safety program. Our staff can develop a custom-tailored program to fit your business or we can examine your existing program and look for ways to improve it. Some of the specific programs we can offer our help in include:
Corporate and Company Policies These fundamental policies exist as how upper management or the owner intends for the company to operate. It can be the philosophical idea that management supports and demands that the company and its employees will work in a safe manner. It can also provide some basic information on how to work safe. Examples of Corporate policy are: DRUG and ALCOHOL, HAZARDOUS COMMUNICATION, FALL PROTECTION, CRISIS PLANS, EMERGENCY ACTION PLANS and more.
Specific Safe Practices Specific safe practices can be developed and documents on how to perform certain tasks safely. An example of this might be the use of fall protection. This practice could outline when fall protection is required, how should use fall protection and how it is to be used.
Project-Specific Safety Plans Some clients or owners might require a project-specific safety plan on how you might complete your work safely should you be awarded the bid. Our staff can look at the bid documents, the scope of the work, the work area and more and put together a plan that you can include with your bid.
Hand Books Employee handbooks are often the introduction to new employees to your safety system. We can help you put together a hand book that will include all the basic first hand information for the new employee that will have them ready to start work or the next phase of their training.
Organizational Planning Looking for ways to integrate safety into your entire organization? We can help by looking at your unique business structure and offering ideas, work systems and procedures that help to get safety planned into every part of your company.
MSHA Training Plans The Mine Safety and Health Administration requires that all employers who work on mine sites have written training programs, even if you do not engage in the act of mining. Contractors are required by two different Federal Codes to have a certain type of training program. We can help you get the right training program and have it approved by MSHA, if required.
Special Training Programs Some parts of your work may require special policies, procedures or training programs that have to be developed and implemented based upon some special need. We have the expertise to develop such programs and get you a top quality product.
